Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of marine mechanical equipment, including engines, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective actions to ensure minimal downtime of vessels and equipment.
- Assist in overhauling, installation, and commissioning of marine machinery and related systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to execute maintenance and repair tasks effectively.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and maritime standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities or potential risks to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other departments to support ongoing marine operations and projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in marine, shipyard, or offshore industry
- Strong knowledge of marine engines and mechanical systems
- Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision instruments
- Basic understanding of safety standards in marine environments
