Job Overview

Dona Manis Cake Shop, a beloved heritage bakery known for its handmade pastries and signature banana pies, is looking for Pastry Assistants to join our kitchen team. Whether you're seeking a part-time role or a full-time career in baking, we welcome passionate individuals who love working with their hands and take pride in traditional craft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and production of cakes, pies, tarts, and pastries.
• Support the head pastry chef in daily baking tasks (measuring ingredients, mixing , shaping, decorating, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to food safety standards.
• Handle basic food preparation tasks (cutting fruits, portioning ingredients, packing finished products).
• Assist in maintaining inventory of ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure consistency in product quality, taste, and presentation.
• Uphold Dona Manis' traditional standards of handmade quality and care.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• No formal experience required, but passion for baking is a must.
• Prior kitchen or bakery experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours.
• Must be able to stand for long hours and carry ingredients
• WSQ Level 1 Food Safety Handling Certificate required.

Working Hours:

• Part-Time: Minimum 4 days a week, including weekends preferred.
• Full-Time: 5–6 days a week, based on schedule rotation. You may be required to work on weekends and public holidays, with off in lieu given based on MOM guidelines.
• Working hours may vary depending on production needs.
