Job Description

Responsibilities

We are a technology company specialising in managed IT, technology and engineering services. We are technology first, and love for our people to grow and learn new skills. We pride ourselves on having a positive culture where learning is encouraged.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the local launch of an innovative smart medical device from Australia, that is new to the Singapore market. As we grow the operations here, we are building a team from the ground up — meaning the people who join early will have real opportunities to develop their skills, take on greater responsibility, and grow with the business as it expands. There will also be opportunities in other parts of the business, where you can gain skills and learn new technologies.

We are hiring for this role at both junior and senior levels. Candidates will be considered based on their experience and background. Training will be provided.

These roles are for immediate start.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble smart biomedical units following detailed work instructions, including handling and connecting sensor cables and PCB connectors.
  • Perform in-process quality inspection checks and complete production tracking and recording forms accurately.
  • If required, carry out soldering and cable termination tasks using hand tools in accordance with safety and quality procedures.
  • Handle and move bulky components and packaged units using correct manual handling techniques.
  • Conduct cleaning, packing, and preparation of finished units for dispatch or site deployment.
  • Travel to client sites to carry out installation and commissioning of units, including basic device configuration and network connectivity setup.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and basic field issues; escalate as required and document findings.
  • Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation in line with company procedures.
  • Support the team in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
  •  (Senior) Progressively take on supervisory duties including task allocation, junior staff mentoring, and shift handover.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Polytechnic diploma in Electronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Technology, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
  • Hands-on skills with tools including soldering iron, cable cutters, and general hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and quality procedures accurately.
  • Physically capable of handling large and bulky items.
  • Good communication skills; able to report issues clearly and liaise professionally with clients on site.
  • Willing to travel to client sites for installation and commissioning activities.
  • (Senior) Solid IT skills: comfortable configuring basic network settings (Wi-Fi/LAN, IP configuration), using Windows, and following software setup procedures.
  • (Senior) Experience independently diagnosing and resolving assembly or field issues, and working within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • (Senior) Leadership potential: ability to supervise a small team and mentor junior staff.
  • Experience in electronics assembly, fabrication, or smart/IoT product manufacturing is an advantage.
