We are looking for a flexible and versatile HR Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess a solid academic background in HR and demonstrate practical experience in government liaison, foreign worker management (including FOMEMA), and hostel compliance. As a key team player, you will not only manage these specific areas but also maintain the flexibility to support and cover other HR functions within the department when needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesCross-Functional Support: Act as a flexible team member capable of covering and assisting other HR team members in various functions (e.g., local recruitment, payroll support, employee engagement, and general administration).
Adaptability: Ready to take on ad-hoc HR tasks and projects as assigned by the management to ensure smooth HR department operations.
Foreign Worker Liaison: Utilize your experience to assist in managing foreign workers' affairs, including permit renewals, check-out memos, and general welfare.
FOMEMA & Medical Operations: Coordinate and handle FOMEMA medical examination processes, ensuring all foreign workers comply with health regulations and timelines.
Hostel & Accommodation Compliance: Oversee worker accommodation and ensure housing operations meet the standards of the Minimum Standards of Housing, Accommodations and Amenities Act 1990 (Act 446).
Government Relations: Assist the team in dealing with statutory bodies such as the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR), Department of Labour (JTK), and Immigration Department (JIM) based on established government procedures.
Documentation: Handle government-related applications, documentation, and submissions accurately.
Education Background: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional Certification: Professional HR certification/diploma (e.g., MIHRM, Certified HR Practitioner, or verified training in Malaysian Employment Laws) is highly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1–2 years of general HR working experience.
Must possess prior experience and knowledge in handling foreign worker matters, FOMEMA procedures, and worker hostel management (Act 446).

High Flexibility: Strong adaptability and willingness to cross-cover other HR colleagues' duties.
Team Player: Excellent collaborative mindset with a "can-do" attitude to support the overall HR team.
Knowledge & Skills: Good understanding of the Malaysian Employment Act 1955.
Language Skills: Strong communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (to effectively liaise with government officials, internal stakeholders, and diverse team members).
