Job Scope – Retail Store Supervisor

Singapore Computer Hardware Store

Position Summary

The Retail Store Supervisor supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, supervising frontline staff, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring smooth sales and inventory operations within the computer hardware retail environment.

The supervisor plays a key role in motivating the sales team, assisting customers with technical product knowledge, and ensuring efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Daily Store Operations

  • Supervise daily retail floor activities and staff duties.
  • Ensure smooth store opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor cleanliness, product displays, and store presentation.
  • Ensure all pricing labels and promotional materials are updated accurately.
  • Handle cashier operations and support POS transactions when required.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs and retail procedures.

2. Technical Sales & Customer Service

  • Provide product recommendations for computer hardware, gaming components, networking devices, and accessories.
  • Assist customers in selecting compatible PC components and upgrade solutions.
  • Support custom PC build inquiries and technical consultations.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and technical issues professionally.
  • Promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards among retail staff.

3. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Monitor stock availability and replenish shelves when necessary.
  • Assist with stock receiving, checking, and labeling.
  • Coordinate defective product returns, warranty claims, and RMA processing.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and inventory checks.
  • Report low stock, damaged items, or discrepancies to management.
  • Ensure proper security and handling of high-value products.

4. Staff Supervision & Training

  • Supervise retail assistants and part-time staff during daily operations.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor staff productivity.
  • Train staff on new hardware products, promotions, and technical specifications.
  • Guide junior staff on customer handling and sales techniques.
  • Support management in staff onboarding and performance monitoring.
  • Maintain teamwork and positive working environment.

5. Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation

  • Ensure products are neatly displayed and properly organized.
  • Maintain attractive gaming and technology product showcases.
  • Monitor promotional displays and marketing materials.
  • Ensure demo units and display PCs are functioning properly.

6. Security & Loss Prevention

  • Monitor store security and prevent theft or stock loss.
  • Ensure expensive components and accessories are properly secured.
  • Follow company procedures for cash handling and inventory control.
  • Report suspicious activities or operational issues immediately.

7. Online Sales Support

  • Assist with online order processing and customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate packing and fulfillment of e-commerce orders.
  • Support online promotions and marketplace campaigns.
  • Monitor online customer feedback and assist with responses.

Expansion & Business Support

The Retail Store Supervisor may also support management with ideas and initiatives to improve sales and business growth, including:

  • Promoting gaming PC bundles and upgrade packages.
  • Supporting social media or livestream sales activities.
  • Assisting with tech events, roadshows, or product launches.
  • Gathering customer feedback and market trends.
  • Recommending fast-moving or trending products for stocking.

Requirements

  • Experience in retail sales or computer hardware industry preferred.
  • Basic to strong knowledge of PC components and IT products.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Leadership and teamwork abilities.
  • Responsible, organized, and able to work in fast-paced retail environment.
  • Familiar with Singapore retail operations is an advantage.

Pay: $1,876.61 - $2,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
