Responsibilities
Everest Clinical Research (“Everest”) is a full-service contract research organization (CRO) providing a broad range of expertise-based clinical research services to worldwide pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. To drive continued success in this exciting clinical research field, we are seeking committed, skilled, and customer-focused individuals to join our winning team as an IT Support Specialist.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Resolve various technical support tickets submitted through the ServiceNow Helpdesk portal for operations; perform task in a timely manner in an effort to ensure all Everest employees are able to work efficiently.
2. Configure and deploy laptops to Everest employees.
3. Provide access administration for Windows/Unix/secure File Transfer Protocol (sFTP) user accounts and permissions.
4. Perform patch management: ensure that all critical security, system patches, and service packs have been applied.
5. Perform log management and review: periodic review of system and backup logs.
6. Perform asset and inventory management.
7. Maintain various office equipment, such as printers, fax machines, and photocopiers, to minimize any delay of production.
8. Develop various software/hardware installation and procedural documents for Information Technology department reference.
9. Conduct Information Technology research and development to constantly improve the Information Technology standard within Everest.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. A bachelors’ degree or equivalent in computer science or information technology with 3 years of IT support experience.
2. Understanding of clinical trials, management of cloud infrastructure, and VMware experience are of benefit to the position.
3. Education or experience must demonstrate the ability to work independently.
