Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company’s fleet of trucks (maintenance, scheduling, fuel, tracking).

  • Ensure vehicles comply with safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance.

  • Plan and schedule daily/weekly deliveries.

  • Assign drivers and routes for maximum efficiency.

  • Monitor delivery progress and resolve delays or issues.

  • Supervise distribution staff (drivers, dispatchers, warehouse support if applicable).

  • Manage workflow to ensure on-time deliveries.

  • Develop and implement distribution policies and procedures.

  • Serve as the point of contact for customers regarding delivery times.

  • Handle delivery-related inquiries and complaints.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely updates and issue resolution.

  • Monitor logistics KPIs (on-time delivery rate, transport cost, route efficiency).

  • Work with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Optimize cost and efficiency in logistics and distribution operations.

  • Maintain records and prepare reports for management.
