With our commitment to quality, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service, we are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Human Resource Executive with experience in the Marine Industry to join our dynamic team!
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the full spectrum of HR functions to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day HR operations.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, salary proposals, onboarding/orientation, and exit management.
- Partner closely with internal departments on manpower planning, employee lifecycle matters (e.g., probation confirmation, resignations), and HR-related issues.
- Oversee work pass administration, including applications, renewals, cancellations, and issuances, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with shipyards and relevant stakeholders on work permit renewals, particularly within the marine sector.
- Coordinate logistics for foreign employees, including travel arrangements, onboarding/offboarding, and accommodation/dormitory assignments.
- Provide administrative and operational support, including office supplies management and vendor coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring proper documentation and confidentiality.
- Prepare and generate weekly and monthly HR reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process payroll, including overtime calculations, statutory contributions (e.g., CPF), and ensure compliance with local labour regulations.
- Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment matters.
- Assist in performance management processes, including appraisals and review cycles.
- Participate in and support ad-hoc HR projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of local labour laws, including the Employment Act and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) procedures and systems.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and accountability.
- Resourceful, proactive, and detail-oriented with a positive work attitude.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
