Achieve Group Hiring! Full Time Operations Executive (Crude) in - Ricebowl

Our client, an established commodities trading firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Operator to support trade operations activities for crude oil cargoes. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with early-career exposure in oil operations who are keen to deepen their knowledge and develop within the commodities trading industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end trade operations activities for crude oil transactions, ensuring smooth execution of cargo movements and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with internal trading, operations, finance, and risk teams to facilitate timely execution of physical trades.
• Liaise with counterparties, terminals, inspectors, shipping agents, vessel operators, and service providers to ensure seamless cargo scheduling and operational execution.
• Monitor vessel schedules, cargo nominations, laycan windows, and shipping documentation to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Prepare, review, and process operational documents including contracts, invoices, bills of lading, letters of indemnity, certificates, and shipping instructions.
• Track cargo movements and provide timely operational updates to relevant stakeholders on shipment status, delays, or operational issues.
• Support trade settlement processes, including invoice verification, cost allocation, and reconciliation of operational expenses.
• Assist in resolving operational discrepancies, claims, or documentation issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure all operational activities are conducted in compliance with internal controls, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide operational support for ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and other assignments as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related disciplines preferred.
• Possesses minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in trade operations, shipping operations, or commodities operations within oil & gas or related trading environments.
• Candidates with operational experience in refined products, fuel oil, middle distillates, LPG, LNG, or other petroleum products are welcome to apply.
• Strong interest in crude oil operations and willingness to learn and transition into crude trading operations.
• Good understanding of shipping documentation, cargo movements, vessel operations, and trade execution processes is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple operational tasks in a fast-paced trading environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external counterparties.
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop a long-term career within commodities trading operations.
