# Full-Stack Design Engineer

## About the Role

We are hiring a Full-Stack Design Engineer who thrives on variety and hands-on work. Every project is different. You will design, prototype, and refine parts using both mechanical and organic design workflows. You will touch the manufacturing process directly, from file preparation through production.

## What You'll Do

• Design mechanical and organic parts for FDM, SLA, SLS, and SLM printing
• Prepare and optimize files for 3D printing, considering material properties and build parameters
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and communicate design constraints
• Execute production workflows including quality checks, issue resolution, and post-processing
• Work with large-format fabrication, scale models, signage, and custom installations
• Learn and apply different manufacturing techniques across projects

## What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience with 3D design software and 3D printing technologies
• Comfort working with both mechanical and organic design workflows
• Proven ability to tinker, troubleshoot, and iterate quickly
• Attention to detail in file preparation, quality control, and documentation
• Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and manufacturing disciplines
• Clear communication with clients and team members

## Requirements

• Experience with CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with at least one 3D printing technology (FDM, SLA, SLS, or SLM)
• Portfolio or examples demonstrating design and manufacturing work
• Familiarity with design optimization for manufacturing
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid project pivots

## Nice to Have

• Experience with Blender, ZBrush, or other organic modeling tools
• Knowledge of material properties for different printing technologies
• Experience with post-processing, finishing, and quality control
• Basic familiarity with other fabrication techniques (laser cutting, CNC, etc.)
• Experience in a small, multidisciplinary team
