What The Role Is
As an Engineer/Lead Engineer (Ops Systems), you are responsible for the delivery and maintenance of ICT capabilities through effective planning, management, and deployment of resources. You will apply professional knowledge and expertise to support and enhance Home Team’s operational capabilities.
What You Will Be Working On
The successful jobholder will be assigned to manage the maintenance or enhancement of ICT systems. He/She will be minimally responsible for the following:
- Availability and reliability of the system
- Security compliance and audit requirements of the system
- Planning and system support, including Cyber Security and Disaster Recovery exercises
- Budget and Asset management
- Monitoring and reporting (monthly meetings, written reports, ad-hoc reporting, etc.)
- Problem/issue management
- Change management
- Documentation and ensure that all documents are up to date
- Vendor management
- Contract / Licence management and renewal
- Risk management and incident response
- Tech Refresh and Upgrade planning, monitor and renew hardware and software before End-Of-Life
- Put up papers for budget and approval
- Decommissioning of old equipment
- Ensure systems are compliance with GovTech and MHA Security Policies
What We Are Looking For
- Tertiary Education in Computer Studies, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
- The candidate needs to have 3 years of related IT working experience;
- Possessing project management certification such as PMP, CITPM or equivalent will be an added advantage;
- Possess good interpersonal, spoken and written communication skills.
