Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management
• Oversee receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, spare parts, and finished steel products.
• Maintain accurate stock records and conduct periodic audits.
• Implement FIFO/LIFO practices to minimize wastage and ensure material traceability.
• Warehouse Operations
• Supervise loading/unloading activities, ensuring proper handling of heavy steel items.
• Coordinate with logistics for timely dispatch and delivery.
• Ensure proper use of forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
• Safety & Compliance
• Enforce workplace safety standards in line with MOM and industry regulations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for store staff.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal audit requirements.
• Team Supervision
• Lead and train storekeepers, forklift operators, and helpers.
• Prepare duty rosters and manage manpower allocation.
• Resolve operational issues and maintain discipline among staff.
• Coordination & Reporting
• Liaise with procurement, production, and quality control teams to align material availability with project schedules.
• Generate daily/weekly inventory and dispatch reports for management.
• Highlight shortages, delays, or risks in supply chain operations.

Requirements

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of steel grades, specifications, and handling procedures.
• Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems for inventory tracking.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and safety-conscious, with ability to work in industrial environments.
