Job Overview

We are looking for a Data Modeler & Business Analyst to support a Data Warehouse migration project (Netezza). This role will work closely with business and technical teams to define data models, perform data mapping, and ensure data accuracy during migration.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and data requirements
• Experience in requirement documentation (BRD / FRD)
• Design data models (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Define and document source-to-target data mappings
• Perform data profiling and identify data quality issues
• Work with ETL team to translate business rules into transformation logic
• Support data validation, reconciliation, and UAT activities
• Maintain data dictionary, metadata, and documentation

Requirements

• 3–4 years of experience in data modelling / business analysis
• Strong experience with databases (Oracle, Netezza, MS SQL)
• Proficient in SQL (Python is a plus)
• Experience in data modelling:

o Star schema / dimensional modelling

o Medallion architecture

o Industry models (e.g., FSLDM)

• Experience in data mapping and data analysis
• Basic understanding of data quality and validation

Nice to Have

• Experience with modelling tools (ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner)
• Banking or financial services experience
• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
