Responsibilities

We’re Hiring: Chef de Partie

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Chef de Partie to join our culinary team!

In this role, you will oversee a designated section of our main kitchen, working closely with the Sous Chef and senior team. You will guide junior staff, uphold high standards of quality and organisation, and play a key part in ensuring a smooth and efficient service flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the assigned kitchen section during preparation and service, ensuring smooth workflow and service readiness.
  • Prepare and cook Western cuisine dishes in accordance with established recipes, culinary techniques, and quality standards.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, taste, and presentation in line with dining standards.
  • Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations to support efficiency and cost-effective performance.
  • Supervise, guide, and support junior kitchen staff within the section, fostering teamwork and skill development.
  • Maintain proper stock usage, portion control, and ingredient handling to minimise wastage and support kitchen profitability.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations at all times.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment, refrigerators, and work areas are properly used, cleaned, and maintained in accordance with sanitary requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of all perishable items in line with the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) policy.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation throughout preparation and service.
  • Support other operational duties as assigned by the HOD or Management.

Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, or equivalent professional training
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant kitchen experience
  • Strong knowledge of Western cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations
  • Required to possess a Food Safety certificate
  • Able to cook both local dishes and basic Western cuisine
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to guide and support junior staff
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a kitchen section independently
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a hands-on approach to kitchen operations
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
