Job Description
Responsibilities
Join a leading OEM in the building equipment sector as a Safety Coordinator. We are looking for a forward-thinking professional who goes beyond compliance to foster a "Safety First" culture. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our equipment installations and maintenance operations meet the highest standards of safety and technical excellence.
Strategic Safety Oversight: Conduct regular safety meetings and proactively monitor industry trends, MOM updates, and technical safety developments in the M&E sector.
Audits & Inspections: Oversee the full lifecycle of safety inspections, from reviewing checklists to managing robust audit schedules for both workshop and site-based projects.
Performance Analytics: Prepare data-driven reports on safety performance, identifying trends and recommending preventive measures to mitigate risks.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams (engineers/technicians) and external parties (MOM, clients, and contractors) on all WSH matters.
Regulatory Guardianship: Ensure 100% compliance with the WSH Act, MOM regulations, and relevant Codes of Practice (CP) specific to building services and equipment.
System Optimization: Continuously review and improve the Safety Management System (SMS) to align with ISO 45001 standards and OEM-specific requirements.
Training & Mentorship: Design and deliver high-impact safety briefings and technical tool-box talks for new hires and existing technical staff.
Certification: Minimum WSH Level B; must be a Registered Safety Coordinator with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Technical Expertise: At least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within an OEM or M&E environment (e.g., Lifts, Escalators, HVAC, Fire Protection, or Power Systems).
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong command of the WSH Act and Singapore’s statutory requirements.
Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, manage on-site safety with minimal supervision, and make critical decisions under pressure.
Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence staff at all levels and translate complex regulations into actionable site practices.
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with digital safety reporting tools and mobile inspection platforms is a significant advantage.
Work with a "dynamic team" where safety is integrated into the engineering process.
Opportunity to lead safety initiatives in a high-tech building equipment environment.
