Summary of Key Responsibilities
The Technology Executive / Senior Executive is responsible for providing technical support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring secure and smooth operations across all retail outlets and the HQ. This role involves hands-on management of POS systems, mobile applications, and network security to ensure high system uptime, data protection, and an excellent user experience.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
POS & Retail Systems Security
- Configure and maintain POS menus, discounts, and promotions while ensuring secure configuration standards.
- Monitor security alerts and logs across all retail systems and network infrastructure to identify potential threats or anomalies.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues reported by stores, including POS, network, and security-related matters.
- Monitor, track, and follow up on all pending technical and security issues to ensure closure within agreed timelines.
Mobile Apps & Digital Security
- Support and coordinate the resolution of mobile app-related issues, specifically focusing on security vulnerabilities.
- Liaise with developers for bug fixing, security updates, and feature requests to improve stability and usability.
- Ensure all digitalization initiatives and mobile app features comply with company security standards and local data protection regulations.
IT Infrastructure, Network & Risk Management
- Manage hardware assets including PCs, laptops, printers, POS terminals, tablets, and routers, ensuring all devices are hardened and patched.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and security audits of network devices (TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi) at the Support Center and retail outlets.
- Manage the lifecycle of security patches and act as the primary responder for cybersecurity incidents to minimize operational downtime.
- Manage user access rights for POS systems and internal applications to ensure "least privilege" access.
Projects & Implementation
- Participate in IT-related projects, including new outlet setup and system upgrades, ensuring security-by-design principles are followed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors for secure project execution.
- Develop and maintain internal cybersecurity Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and incident response playbooks.
Requirements
- Education: Preferably a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent.
- Experience: 2–5 years of IT experience, preferably in retail or F&B with a focus on network or system security.
- Technical Skills:
- An understanding of POS systems workflow and retail-specific security standards (e.g., PCI DSS).
- Proficiency in networking (TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi, routers/switches) and endpoint protection.
- Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and identity management (IAM).
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Good communication, problem-solving skills, and a strong sense of responsibility with high attention to detail.
- Other: Ability to work independently and willing to travel to outlets when required.
