Your new role
As a Cloud & DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, securing, and operating Azure cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines. This is a mid-level, hands-on technical role with ownership of defined cloud and DevSecOps domains, including the development of engineering standards, policies, and automated controls aligned to security and compliance requirements.
You will work closely with application teams, architects, senior engineers, and security stakeholders to ensure cloud platforms and delivery pipelines are scalable, resilient, and secure.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing, deploying, and operating Azure cloud services such as AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, Virtual Machines, and supporting Azure components
Ensuring Azure services are secure, reliable, and compliant with internal engineering standards
Designing and maintaining secure, scalable, and auditable CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
Defining and evolving DevSecOps standards, including pipeline governance, branching strategies, deployment controls, secrets management, and artifact security
Developing and maintaining reusable automation, pipeline templates, and deployment modules
Embedding security controls into infrastructure and pipelines using Azure security best practices (IAM, network security, private connectivity, and configuration hardening)
Supporting security and compliance reviews and remediating findings through engineering improvements
Monitoring platform health and performance using observability tools such as Dynatrace
Performing root cause analysis for platform and pipeline incidents and implementing resilience improvements
Maintaining clear technical documentation, runbooks, and architectural artefacts
What you'll need to succeed
3-4 years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, or DevSecOps engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience operating Microsoft Azure in production environments
Proven experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
Experience embedding security controls into pipelines and infrastructure
Demonstrated ownership of engineering standards, platform patterns, or DevSecOps policies
Ability to translate security and compliance requirements into automated technical solutions
Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts), and Git-based workflows
Familiarity with observability tools such as Dynatrace
Experience using collaboration and documentation tools such as JIRA and Confluence
What you'll get in return
You'll receive a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to work in a globally recognised organisation undergoing significant cloud and DevSecOps transformation. This role offers strong career development, exposure to enterprise-scale platforms, and the chance to make a tangible impact on security, resilience, and engineering excellence.
