Requirements
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge.
- Experience working in a kitchen (preferred).
- Understanding of kitchen operations and cleanliness.
- Good organization and time management.
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Physical stamina for the demands of the job.
- Creativity and adaptability.
- Passion for cooking and food.
Responsibilities
- Taking direction from the head chef or sous chef, and performing other duties as assigned.
- Assisting the chef and other kitchen staff in food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and seasoning dishes.
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and workstations.
- Ensuring that food is stored and labeled properly, and that kitchen supplies are stocked.
- Assisting in the plating and presentation of dishes.
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards, and following recipes and portion guidelines.
- Assisting in the creation of new dishes, menus, and specials.
- Assisting in the ordering and receiving of supplies and ingredients.
