We are on the lookout for a Senior Social Media Executive who will be responsible for developing and implementing Handmade Heroes' social media strategy to enhance our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. This role will manage all social media channels, including content creation, community engagement, influencer collaborations, and performance analytics.

  • Possess minimum Degree in the related fields
  • 3-4 years relevant working experience is required
  • Can speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Well know about social media trend for both Singapore and Malaysia side


1. Social Media Strategy Development:

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough research on the skincare market trends in Malaysia and Singapore, including consumer behavior, competitor activities, and local cultural preferences.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop a tailored social media strategy for each market, identifying key platforms and content types that will resonate best with local audiences.
  • Goal Setting: Establish clear, measurable goals for social media performance, including follower growth, engagement rates, website traffic, and conversion metrics.
  • Campaign Development: Design and implement social media campaigns that align with broader marketing initiatives, product launches, and promotional events.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to ensure the brand remains relevant and innovative.

2. Content Creation and Management:

  • Content Development: Create original, engaging content including posts, stories, reels, and videos that showcase our products, educate our audience, and build brand awareness.
  • Visual Design: Work closely with graphic designers and photographers to produce high-quality visual content that adheres to brand guidelines and aesthetic.
  • Content Calendar: Develop and maintain a detailed content calendar, planning posts in advance to ensure a steady flow of content that aligns with key marketing dates and seasonal trends.
  • Copywriting: Craft compelling, on-brand copy for social media posts, ensuring the messaging is consistent and appeals to the target audience in both markets.

3. Community Engagement:

  • Audience Interaction: Actively monitor and respond to comments, messages, and tags across all social media platforms, fostering positive interactions and addressing any concerns or questions promptly.
  • Community Building: Create initiatives and interactive content (such as polls, Q&A sessions, and live videos) to engage with the audience and build a strong community around the brand.
  • Feedback Management: Gather and analyze feedback from social media interactions to inform product development and customer service improvements.

4. Influencer and Partnership Management:

  • Influencer Outreach: Identify and vet potential influencers and brand ambassadors in Malaysia and Singapore who align with our brand values and target audience.
  • Campaign Coordination: Develop and manage influencer campaigns, providing clear briefs, setting expectations, and ensuring timely delivery of content.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor the performance of influencer collaborations, analyzing reach, engagement, and ROI to inform future partnerships.
  • Partnerships: Explore and establish partnerships with complementary brands, local businesses, and relevant organizations to enhance brand visibility and create co-branded content or events.

5. Performance Analytics and Reporting:

  • Data Analysis: Regularly track and analyze social media metrics such as follower growth, engagement rates, reach, impressions, and conversion rates using tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Instagram Analytics.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly reports on social media performance, providing insights into what is working and where there are opportunities for improvement.
  • Optimization: Use data-driven insights to refine and optimize social media strategies and content, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Marketing Integration: Collaborate with the broader marketing team to ensure social media strategies are integrated with email marketing, SEO, content marketing, and offline campaigns.
  • Product Launches: Work closely with the product development team to create compelling social media content around new product launches, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Customer Service: Liaise with the customer service team to ensure any product-related inquiries or issues raised on social media are promptly and effectively addressed.
  • Creative Input: Participate in brainstorming sessions with the marketing and creative teams, contributing ideas for campaigns, promotions, and other marketing initiatives.

7. Crisis Management:

  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement a crisis management plan for social media, ensuring quick and effective responses to any negative publicity or brand crises.
  • Real-Time Response: Monitor social media channels for potential issues and respond in real-time to mitigate any potential damage to the brand’s reputation.
